eSMART takes part in the complete renovation of the Musée 1 building in Neuchâtel
The CPCN (Caisse de pension canton de Neuchâtel) wanted to transform this old building in order to participate in the ecological transition while reducing the building’s energy consumption: an excellent way to improve comfort in your home, winter and summer alike. In short: life-changing work and a (very) good gesture for the planet!
With the creation of an additional storey under the roof, 19 high-standard apartments are planned (with loggias in the upper sections), as well as administrative areas on two levels (basement and first floor). Photovoltaic solar panels will be installed on the roof, and a self-consumption community will be set up. Heating is gas-fired. A single-flow air recovery system is planned for domestic hot water production.
The eSMART building automation system is suitable for both renovation and new construction. It is scalable and can be extended over time. Via a touchscreen in the living room or from the eSMART Smartphone app, building functions such as videophony, heating, lighting or blinds can be controlled centrally. The screen also displays electricity, heating and hot water consumption in real time, informing occupants of their energy consumption.
