Il comprend huit b\u00e2timents r\u00e9sidentiels d\u2019une surface totale de 85\u00a0400\u00a0m\u00b2, une \u00e9cole, ainsi que trois immeubles de bureaux, un h\u00f4tel et de nombreuses surfaces commerciales. Avec ses atouts principaux comme l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique et la conscience \u00e9cologique, ainsi que la mixit\u00e9 sociale et la mobilit\u00e9, le quartier Greencity s\u2019engage \u00e0 respecter les principes du d\u00e9veloppement durable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">L&#8217;une des applications de Greencity est &#8220;eSmart&#8221;, un syst\u00e8me de commande intelligent pour la gestion du b\u00e2timent, bas\u00e9 sur une invention de l&#8217;EPF Lausanne, la technologie brevet\u00e9e Power Line Carrier (PLC). Ce syst\u00e8me a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par deux doctorants qui s&#8217;\u00e9taient fix\u00e9 pour objectif de cr\u00e9er un moyen plus rentable et structurellement plus simple de contr\u00f4ler automatiquement les b\u00e2timents.
